Far & Wild Safaris are one of South Africa's finest safaris, tour and travel companies, specializing in guided excursions, overland safaris, specialist and tailor-made travel and safaris, safari lodge bookings and selected hotels in the main cities.
Welcome to South Africa - a country amazingly endowed with its incredible natural environment with a rich diversity of its languages and cultures. A world in one country, from the plethora of game reserves in the wildlife-rich African bushveld, to the wonderful climate of the Garden Route, the white, sandy beaches of its extended coastline, to the tropical paradise of the Zulu Kingdom, KwaZulu-Natal Province with its magnificent Drakensberg Mountains, the arid Kalahari and the amazing Fynbos floral kingdom - we have it all. As a safari and tour company, our expertise is on the wildlife and game reserves of South Africa. Our guides have a deep understanding of South Africa's history and the rich variety of travel it offers. Being focused primarily on offering guided safaris to see our country's wildlife, does not preclude our being able to also offer you alternative guided tours, such as to the historic Anglo Zulu and Anglo Boer War battlefields, then there are guided tours of the Cape and Garden Route, even a sojourn to our magnificent uKhahlamba World Heritage site in the Drakensberg Mountains.
Our guided safaris and tours are exclusive to those persons making the reservation, whether as a single traveller, a couple, a family or a group - we do not add additional persons to any of our guided tours in order to fill a vehicle or a room. We do not have scheduled departures on any guided safari. We find that on such a special experience, the agenda of others can interfere with your preferences. You might wish to spend more time at a particularly interesting wildlife sighting or at a museum, a restaurant, or view-point, for example. Our guided safaris are dedicated to just yourselves, your group, family or friends. We are a leader in creating tailor-made guided tours for the independent traveller - each guided tour is planned and constructed with our client, taking into account their interests, requirements and budget. We endeavour to work hand in hand with you from the very beginning, in order to ensure that your dreams and expectations are met giving you your holiday of a lifetime! Our knowledgeable, friendly, professional guides, bring the ever-changing vistas to life, as they share stories of the environment, the wildlife, our history, people.
